Today’s the Day

By Tim Ard

Am G Am

Some live in the past

They are stuck in the days of old

They say that memories are

The things that fill the soul

Some plan for the future

Planning for these day’s to last

They think it will be better

And look forward to the past

C G Am

But today’s the day He may come

Today’s the day He may come

Some look to the things they’ve done

To prove their life complete

Some are looking for crowns on earth

to lay at the saviors feet

They think that works are things

that save the soul

They’ve not prepared their heart

They’re not ready to meet the Lord

and today’s the day He may come

Today’s the day He may come

The past , the future - is today

We learn from the past - and that’s OK

We plan for the future - and that’s Ok

We’re living today! It’s today, today

And today’s the day He may come

Today’s the day He may come

Today’s the day He may come

Today’s the day He may come
