Christmas White
Words & Music by: Tim Ard
A G D A
A little girl sitting on her daddy's lap one warm day in June
A G D A
Looking at a magazine and singing a Christmas tune
G D A
Her father asked her - what are ya doing? She pointed and sang the little tune
G D A
The picture was a Christmas scene - a house covered in white
A G D A
She said - daddy do you think this year we'll have a Christmas white
G D A
He laughed and said - not in Atlanta, you know - she sighed
G D A D A
I pray this Christmas will be different, different and white - Different and white
A G A
The little girl was ill and passed away that very Fall
G D G A
But her spirit lives on, Her love for Christmas, Her joy filled us all
G D A
She brought peace and happiness to this time
G D A D A
But her dreams of a white Christmas were Gone, they were gone, gone
A G A
A few weeks passed and Christmas arrived
G D A
As I peered out that glass you'd never believe it with your eyes
G D A
That Christmas morning - was snowy white
G D A D A
On that Christmas of 89, We saw a miracle sign , a miracle sign
G D A
From her place now up in heaven, she saw our house in white
G D
And the dream of a little girl came true,
G D A
A southern Christmas white
G D
And the dream of a little girl came true,
G D A
God gave us a Southern Christmas White
